Jasmine is the leading Israeli Non-for-Profit Organization, managed by women, for women, and it is dedicated to promoting social and economic change for businesses owned by Jewish and Arab women from all sectors, religions and socioeconomic strata in Israel. That`s in order to enable women to participate to the fullest extent possible in the Israeli economy, elevating the status of women, advancing Israel’s economy, strengthening the Israeli society as a whole and to foster coexistence between Jews and Arabs. We nurture and empower the economic and professional development of women business owners and helps them expand and strengthen their business, and become an important part of the Israeli labor force. Jasmine was founded by Ms. Ofra Strauss and Ms. Kiram Baloum in 2006 and has established as an independent NPO at the end of 2012. Since its inception, Jasmine leads and promotes partnerships and
collaborations with local and international organizations, companies and corporations in order to achieve its goals. In 2016, Jasmine was awarded "The 2016 Knesset Speakers` Quality of Life Prize" for its work on promoting a respectful and tolerant society. This Prize represent the work, achievements and the vast activities of Jasmine to promote women from all sectors to participate in the Israeli economy, to establish and expand businesses, to create business and social connections between and for themselves and for whole and better Israeli society. To date, we have helped over 8,500 women from all sectors in Israel.
